Workshop on First Aid with Health Education

The NSS Unit of Calcutta Institute of Technology (CIT) organized a Workshop on First Aid Awareness on 20th August 2025 in the Seminar Room of CIT. The objective of the workshop was to equip Faculty and Staff Members of various institutions under BCI(Calcutta Institute Of Technology, Bharat Technology, Calcutta Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences & AHS, Bharat Academy Of Sciences) with essential life-saving skills and to create awareness about the importance of timely first aid in medical emergencies. The session was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Partha Pratim Bhattacharya, Principal, Calcutta Institute of Technology, who highlighted the significance of first aid knowledge for students and society at large. The resource person, Pradip Mondal, Hony. Secretary of Institute of Preventive Awareness Kolkata conducted interactive demonstrations on handling common medical emergencies such as bleeding, burns, fractures, and CPR techniques. Faculty and staff members actively participated in the hands-on activities and learned practical approaches to managing critical situations before professional medical help arrives. The workshop proved to be highly informative and beneficial, instilling confidence among the participants to act responsibly during medical emergencies. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Pintu Das, appreciating the efforts of the NSS volunteers and the active participation of faculty and staff members of various institutions under BCI.
